Buffalo Field Archery Club

Buffalo Field Archery Club (BFAC) was founded in 1948. Since its inception BFAC has carried on a mission of promoting the enjoyment of archery and a tradition of outdoor sportsmanship. Club membership includes individuals of all ages, shooting styles and skill levels.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

The success of the club and the success of our tournaments depends on the level of participation by our volunteers. We've recruited enough volunteers to handle the basic maintenance and upkeep of the facility. But for every tournament we will need extra help in setting up, running and cleaning up afterwards. The work is not hard, and you'll be rewarded with food and a fun opportunity to get to know your fellow members and make friends. Our first Club Shoot is February 19, so our first work party is February 18th,

2012 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

Our club tournaments are scheduled for the third Sunday of every month ( February through September) with a work party the day before. Our first ASA Qualifier Shoot is March 3-4.

JOIN THE CLUB:

Membership fees are $130.00 for both individual and family memberships. You get full use of the ranges from dawn till dusk seven days a week. Plus, members pay only $10.00 to participate in club shoots! Please note that the membership expires on December 31, 2012.

More information on how to become a members can be found on Join BFAC page of this website.

LOCATION:

BFAC is located in west Houston on the south side of Clay Road about 1 mile west of the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8). If you are traveling west from the Beltway, the range is before you get to Eldridge road. On the south side of Clay road at approximately the third u-turn/turn-around area across the median, you will see a small green sign that says "Cullen Park Archery Range." The sign is next to a gravel road that is blocked by a metal gate. The gravel road leads to the range.

The metal gate is open during tournaments and work parties, otherwise the gate code is distributed to members only. The range is about 30 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and about 45 minutes from Hobby Airport.

See the About BFAC page for a link to maps and more directions to the range.

VISITORS:

If you are not a member of Buffalo and would like to visit the range, you are welcome any time the gate is open. We leave the gate open during work parties and during tournaments.
